Is it safe to bring a MacBook to a Waterloo Residence?
I heard about break ins and stuff, so now I'm scared and considering a cheap laptop to take instead. I'm going to be living in UWP Suite Style with 3 other roommates (one of them is cool though, I don't know who the other two guys).
Which of these should I be safe with taking?
MacBook Air 13"
HP Pavilion PC + HP Monitor
iPad 32 GB
Nintendo 3DS
PlayStation 3
Armani/Brand Name Clothes
I already own most of these, so should I be okay with taking these or buying cheaper alternatives (like cheaper clothes and a cheap laptop).
I'm in Engineering if that matters.

just lock your door. your roomies aren't stupid enough to take your stuff because you'll know it's them.

If you have a personal bedroom & lock, you should be fine, yeah. If you had a normal dorm, I'd suggest making sure all roommates know to keep the door locked. Otherwise, I think they sell "laptop locks" but that is a bit extreme from what I've heard.
