Should I skip ICS2O1 for ICS3U1

I have some experience in Java and C++, but I'm worried would it be too hard? Is it worth taking the grade 10 computer studies though, I heard it's not very useful.

I mean, these are simply elective courses, so it doesn't even matter. Not to mention the fact that it's gr. 10/11 and no comp sci university program even requires you to take high school comp sci.

I'm in grade 10 taking grade 11 computer science right now, and I skipped grade 10 computer studies. I like the course a lot and haven't found it to be too hard, and I had no programming experience before taking it. It's meant as an introductory course, so many people in your class will probably have no programming experience.

The only thing is you probably won't know anybody in your class because you're fast-tracking. But if you're ok with that, then I'd recommend skipping grade 10 comp sci because I've also heard it isn't that useful.
