Choosing Psychology Programs

Hi, I'm a 12 grade student from Latin America. I'm planning on moving to Canada to study Psychology. I'm leaning towards a career/future in research/investigation but I'm not ruling out the idea of working in art therapy (it seems interesting). I've heard some people say it doesn't matter where you do your undergrad but since they don't work in a related field nor are they from Canada I'm not sure about it. I have some uni and colleges in mind, which most are in Ontario since it's easier for my accommodation. My main are Ryerson, Seneca College, York, and Lakehead. I've heard about Dalhousie and Queens too. My grades are pretty average (4.44/5.0). I would like to know how are the programs, I would love hands-on research or experience, safety for women, and if it's worth it (future employment opportunities, etc...) If anyone has information or advice regarding this, it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.
