Queen’s Commerce vs Ivey AEO 2019

I am a grade 12 student currently debating between Queen’s Commerce and Ivey AEO. I want to go into either finance and consulting, and believe Ivey’s recruitment can be better in those areas in comparison to Queen’s. However, I do understand that there is a risk associated with attending Western, and was also wondering how difficult it is to maintain AEO status in the BMOS program. Please drop some comments below. Anything is appreciated! Thanks!

  1. Just go to Queen’s, dude. You’re studying business from day one and you won’t have to worry about AEO status.

  2. Hey there, I wrote an analysis on Queen’s vs Ivey back in the day when I was at QC. Most points are still applicable. Here’s the article:

I also wrote a huge guide for Queen’s Commerce applicants, with business school comparisons at the bottom of the article:

I went into management consulting after I attended Queen’s Commerce. I ended up moving to Australia with AT Kearney. Many of my friends worked at McKinsey, BCG, Bain all over the world. Queen’s definitely sets you up, however if case interviewing isn’t natural for you, I’d recommend Ivey because it’s a 100% case-based curriculum. Queen’s is more of a mix of case + lectures.

Anyway, feel free to hit me up with any questions on my website or below:
