Grades Required For UBC Sauder or UT?

Hi, I’m currently in grade 11 and I heard something about how UBC now looks at grade 11 marks for regular admissions now so I’m worried about my science marks and electives preventing me from entering. They are as listed: Pre-Calculus 12 : 92 Socials 11: 94 English 11: 94 Chemistry 11: 78 Physics 11: 86 French 11 : 89 Computer Science : 87 Accounting : 86 (average of 8 courses = 88.3%)   My school doesn’t help much with providing information to the students so I was wondering how many of these grades I enter for admissions and how much do they matter? If I manage to bring my top 6 average to about a 90-92% in grade 12, would I have a good chance of getting accepted for regular/normal admissions? Thank you for your time.

  1. Yes, 90’s will make you competitive for pretty much all of the top tier biz programs in the country. And for the programs that look at EC’s, that will be more important than grades once you pass a certain point.

Fortunately for you there is this thing called “the internet”. You can use it to search for information. For example:

    https://www.sauder.ubc.ca/programs/bachelors-degrees/bachelor-commerce/admissions-finance/direct-entry
    https://rotmancommerce.utoronto.ca/future-students/ontario-applicants-ouac-101/

  3. Aim for Queen’s commerce and Ivey as they are the best undergraduate business programs in Canada. UBC Sauder and Rotman are tier 2.
