Gab year

Should I take a gab year to finish my training in the Navy reserves and spend a couple months deployed? I was planning to attend the UofA engineering, but am very interested in taking a gab year to finish my training and gain some experience as a marine tech. I also do plan do join the reg force as a engineer once I have completed my degree. Should I do this? What are some pros and cons?

  1. I’m pretty sure the Canadian government will pay for your tuition (either in full or partially) if you decide to serve in a military capacity, so yes, it would be helpful because you could save a sh!t ton of money and gain valuable experience.
