Hi guys, so have any of you done environmental science? How was the program like and what has that landed you towards the future as to a job? Would it be a good idea to apply to this program?

  1. Lol, if you even have to ask those questions, then you already know the answers. What are you expecting to hear, exactly? Professional tree hugger?

  2. My friend did this program and works for the Ministry of Attorney General now. However, he also has a specialized master's degree in the field. From what he tells me, it is very difficult to get a job in this field with an undergraduate degree alone. You can't compete with master's and PhD students in the job market. So I would only do enviro sci if you're prepared to at least do a "practical" master's degree after your undergrad. There are definitely jobs available in the environment area, but an undergraduate degree alone is usually not enough.
Also, this program is pretty much the same everywhere. It doesn't matter if you do it at Loo or York. Just do your masters at U of T or something.
