Computer Science Fields

Although the computer science industry in Canada is growing fast, I’ve heard that soon jobs will become limited due to the high number of students graduating with a computer science or related degree. According to Job Bank Canada, over the next ten or so years, 20,700 computer science related jobs will open up, with an expected 21,700 people looking to fill those positions (https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/marketreport/outlook-occupation/5485/ca#). From others I’ve heard that those graduating with computer science degrees will have lots of opportunities. I was wondering what views people on this platform had on this topic. Thanks for any responses.

  1. Comp sci is always going to be in demand, dude. AI is taking over every facet of life, and some code monkey is always going to be necessary to tweak and maintain them.
